I haven’t given a “life update” in a while, and I figure now is as good a time as any!
I just finished my junior year of college. This year, it just felt time to be done for the summer, for once, but the year went by quickly nevertheless. I’m glad to have the summer off from school, but I’m also super stoked to go back in the fall. I’m going to have my own bedroom for the first time in about eight years, so I am way more than excited about that!
I’m pretty excited (and really nervous) to be working this summer as a correspondent for the Knoxville Journal Express and the Pella Chronicle writing articles! Since I’ve had pretty much zero experience in newspaper article writing, and next to no experience in interviewing people, it’s a little daunting. But I figure after the first few it will be less intimidating. I have my first reporting opportunity tonight; wish me luck!
